   This Privacy Policy explains how CheckSync (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your

   information when you use the CheckSync iOS app and its API at api.cubequack.com. By using CheckSync, you

   agree to this Policy.

   What We Collect

   •  Account and authentication

     •  Foursquare OAuth tokens (stored encrypted), your Foursquare user ID, display name, and email (when

        provided by Foursquare).

     •  A CheckSync API key generated for your account.

   •  Check-in data

     •  Your Foursquare/Swarm check-ins (time, venue, city/state/country, coordinates as provided, venue

        category).

   •  Usage analytics

     •  Server-side, per‑endpoint counts tied to your CheckSync user ID (no third‑party SDKs; no ad/marketing

        tracking).

   •  Device/network info

     •  Standard network metadata (IP, timestamps) in server logs for security and reliability.

   We do not collect contacts, photos, precise background location, or advertising identifiers.

   How We Use Your Data

   •  App functionality: import, store, and display your check-ins; compute stats like “On This Day,” return

      visits, trips, and top cities/countries.

   •  Security and reliability: securing accounts, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and service monitoring

      (e.g., health checks).

   •  Analytics: aggregated, privacy‑preserving metrics (e.g., daily active users, endpoint usage) to improve

      performance and quality.

   Data Sharing

   •  We do not sell or rent your data.

   •  Service providers (infrastructure only): cloud hosting, networking, and database providers (e.g.,

      Render, Cloudflare/CDN, and Azure SQL) process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.

   •  Legal: we may disclose if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.

   Your Choices and Controls

   •  Delete Account: in the app Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your CheckSync account and

       all imported check-ins from our servers. It does not delete your original Foursquare data.

   •  Sign Out: removes local session and cached responses on your device.

   •  Consent withdrawal: you can revoke Foursquare access in your Foursquare account settings; you’ll need to

       reconnect to resume sync.

   Data Retention

   •  We retain your CheckSync account and imported check‑ins until you delete your account or your account

      remains inactive for an extended period (e.g., 24 months), after which we may delete for housekeeping.

   •  Server logs and minimal analytics are kept for a limited time consistent with security and operational

      needs.

   Security

   •  OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest; API access is over HTTPS (TLS).

   •  Access controls, least‑privilege practices, and monitoring are used to reduce risk. No system is 100%

      secure; report issues to us promptly.

   International Transfers

   •  Data may be processed in the United States and other regions where our infrastructure providers operate,

       with appropriate safeguards.

   Children’s Privacy

   •  CheckSync is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). We do not

      knowingly collect data from children.

   Your Rights

   Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to

   object or restrict certain processing.

   •  EU/UK GDPR: You may request access/erasure and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

   •  California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell/share personal information for cross‑context behavioral

      advertising. You may request access or deletion.

   To exercise rights, contact us or use in‑app Delete Account.

   Cookies and Tracking

   •  The iOS app does not use cookies or third‑party trackers.

   •  Our API and website may use strictly necessary cookies (if any) for security/session management only.

   Third‑Party Services

   •  Foursquare/Swarm: Your connection and authorization are governed by Foursquare’s terms and privacy

      policy. We only import data after you grant access and per your permission.

   Changes to This Policy

   We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Changes take effect when

   posted with an updated “Last updated” date.
